1. Introduction

Welcome to Mr. Miranda Online.

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Mr. Miranda Online website, courses, resources, community areas, subscription offers, digital content, third-party integrations and related educational services.

By accessing the platform, creating an account, enrolling in an offer, joining a course, participating in the community, or purchasing any paid subscription, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the platform.

2. About Mr. Miranda Online

Mr. Miranda Online is an online educational platform created by Sérgio Miranda to support students preparing for Cambridge International Education CAIE IGCSE and A-Level Physics and Mathematics examinations.

The platform provides structured educational content, video lessons, solved exam questions, notes, revision materials, community support, third-party educational tools and, where applicable, live or periodic support.

Mr. Miranda Online is not a school, examination centre, university admissions service, or official representative of Cambridge International Education.

3. Who the Platform Is For

Mr. Miranda Online is designed primarily for students preparing for Cambridge International IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Physics examinations.

The platform may also be useful for students outside the Cambridge International system who wish to learn Physics or Mathematics through a rigorous and internationally recognised academic structure. However, responsibility for checking compatibility with any non-Cambridge syllabus rests with the student or parent/guardian.

Students under the age of 18 should use the platform with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Description of Services

Mr. Miranda Online may include, depending on the offer selected:

• Video lessons
• Solved exam questions
• Lesson notes
• Revision summaries
• Formulae lists
• Definitions lists
• End-of-chapter questions
• Online practice resources
• Community access
• Periodic challenges
• Exam technique support
• Digital textbook access
• Third-party educational platform access
• Live or recorded support sessions
• Progress monitoring or feedback, where included in the selected tier

The exact content and features included are those described on the relevant offer page, checkout page, sales page or course dashboard at the time of enrolment.

5. ACCESS Tier

The ACCESS tier is currently provided free of charge.

Enrolment in the ACCESS tier grants personal access to the included ACCESS courses and resources for 730 consecutive days from the date of enrolment.

At present, ACCESS focuses on A-Level Mathematics, including Pure 1, Pure 2, Pure 3, Mechanics, Statistics 1 and Statistics 2, subject to the availability of each course and the published operational timeline.

ACCESS may include video lessons, solved exam questions, selected notes, revision resources, formulae or definition sheets, and other materials made available within the ACCESS tier.

Access is personal, non-transferable and linked to the student’s account. Login details must not be shared.

At the end of the 730-day access period, access expires automatically unless extended by Mr. Miranda Online.

Mr. Miranda Online may update, improve, expand, reorganise or remove ACCESS materials during the access period.

6. Optional Contributions

The ACCESS tier is free.

Where an optional “buy me a coffee” contribution or similar voluntary payment option is made available, such contribution is entirely optional and does not affect access to the free tier.

Optional contributions are a gesture of support for the time, work and resources invested in building the platform. They do not create any additional entitlement beyond the offer selected, unless explicitly stated at checkout.

7. ACCESS PRO and ACCESS ULTRA

Mr. Miranda Online may offer paid subscription tiers, including ACCESS PRO and ACCESS ULTRA.

These paid tiers may include additional resources such as structured course pathways, digital textbooks, extended notes, end-of-chapter questions, community interaction, exam technique support, marked work, group lessons, progress reports, or other features described on the relevant offer page.

Paid subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled.

The price, billing period, included subjects and included features are those displayed at checkout at the time of purchase.

Access to paid features normally continues until the end of the current billing period following cancellation.

8. ACCESS PRIVATE MENTORSHIP

Mr. Miranda Online may also offer a limited Private Access or Private Mentorship tier. This may include a higher level of direct support, personalised guidance, private or semi-private interaction, or other features described on the relevant offer page. 

Private Access is subject to availability and may be limited to a small number of students. The exact format, frequency, duration, communication channels, included subjects and support boundaries are those stated on the relevant offer page or agreed in writing at the time of enrolment.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Private Access does not guarantee any particular examination grade, academic result, university admission or outcome.

9. Course Availability and Operational Timeline

Mr. Miranda Online is a growing educational platform.

Some courses, subjects, resources or features may be marked as coming soon, in development, or listed on an operational timeline.

At any given time, not every advertised subject may be fully available.

Estimated release dates are provided in good faith but may change if necessary to maintain quality, correct errors, improve structure, or respond to technical, educational or operational constraints.

Such updates do not automatically constitute a reduction in the service purchased.

10. Platform Evolution

Mr. Miranda Online is continuously improved.

Course structures, lesson sequences, educational materials, platform features, community areas, teaching methods and third-party integrations may evolve over time.

These changes are made to improve the educational experience, maintain quality, update content, or adapt to student needs.

11. Third-Party Platforms and Tools

Mr. Miranda Online uses or may link to third-party platforms and services, including but not limited to Kajabi, Materact, Exam-Mate, Hodder Boost, payment processors, analytics tools and email service providers.

These third-party services are operated independently and are subject to their own Terms of Use and Privacy Policies.

Mr. Miranda Online is not responsible for the operation, availability, technical performance, pricing changes, policy changes, account requirements or content of third-party platforms.

Where a subscription tier includes access to a third-party educational tool, students may be required to create and maintain their own account with that provider.

12. Materact

Some exercises, questions or learning activities may be delivered through Materact or similar interactive learning platforms.

Materact is a third-party educational service and is not operated by Mr. Miranda Online.

Continued access to Materact-based activities depends on the availability and continued operation of the Materact service.

If Materact substantially changes, interrupts or discontinues its service, Mr. Miranda Online will make reasonable efforts to provide an educational alternative where practical.

13. Exam-Mate and Affiliate Links

The ACCESS course dashboard may include a link to Exam-Mate or other external educational platforms.

If a student subscribes to Exam-Mate or another third-party service through an affiliate link provided by Mr. Miranda Online, Mr. Miranda Online may receive a commission or other benefit at no additional cost to the student.

Affiliate relationships do not change the price paid by the student unless explicitly stated by the third-party provider.

Mr. Miranda Online only recommends third-party tools believed to be educationally relevant, but students and parents should review the provider’s own terms before subscribing.

14. Payments, Billing and Refunds

Payments for paid offers are processed by third-party payment providers. Mr. Miranda Online does not directly receive or store full credit card details.

Subscription payments are billed according to the terms shown at checkout.

Students may cancel recurring subscriptions according to the cancellation process available through the platform or by contacting support.

Where a subscription includes a licensed digital textbook, third-party licence, or external platform seat, refunds may not be available once access has been granted or the licence has been allocated, because such licences may not be recoverable or reusable.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any statutory consumer rights that apply under Portuguese or European Union law.

Where legally required, consumers may have a right of withdrawal from online purchases. For digital content or services made available immediately, that right may be affected where the consumer expressly requests immediate access and acknowledges the legal consequences of doing so.

15. User Accounts

To access certain parts of the platform, users may need to create an account and provide accurate information.

Users are responsible for keeping login details confidential and secure.

Accounts are personal and must not be shared, sold, transferred or used by anyone other than the registered user.

Mr. Miranda Online may suspend or terminate access where account sharing, misuse or breach of these Terms is suspected.

16. Community Rules

Where community features are available, students are expected to participate respectfully and constructively.

Users must not:

• Harass, insult, threaten or discriminate against others
• Share offensive, inappropriate or unlawful content
• Share private personal information in public spaces
• Record, copy or distribute community discussions without permission
• Use the community to advertise unrelated products or services
• Encourage cheating, plagiarism or academic dishonesty

Mr. Miranda Online may moderate, edit, remove or restrict community content where necessary.

17. Academic Honesty

Students must use the platform honestly and responsibly.

Mr. Miranda Online does not support cheating, plagiarism, impersonation, unauthorised collaboration in formal assessments, or misuse of mark schemes.

Educational resources are provided to help students learn, practise and improve, not to bypass genuine academic work.

18. Intellectual Property

All videos, notes, explanations, diagrams, course structures, resources, worksheets, summaries, images, designs, written materials and other content provided by Mr. Miranda Online are protected by intellectual property rights.

Unless otherwise stated, these materials belong to Sérgio Miranda / Mr. Miranda Online or are used under licence from third parties.

They are provided for personal educational use only.

Users must not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, publish, upload, share, screen-record, download for redistribution, adapt, translate, train artificial intelligence systems on, or use the content for commercial or competing educational purposes without prior written permission.

19. G.H.O.S.T. B.U.S.T. Framework

The G.H.O.S.T. B.U.S.T. Framework, including its name, structure, terminology, methodology, visual presentation and educational sequence, is a proprietary educational framework developed by Mr. Miranda Online.

It may not be reproduced, adapted, taught, packaged, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

Students may, of course, use the framework personally as part of their own study process.

20. No Academic Guarantee

Mr. Miranda Online is designed to support serious study and exam preparation.

However, enrolment does not guarantee any particular grade, examination result, school placement, university admission or academic outcome.

Success depends on many factors beyond the platform’s control, including the student’s effort, consistency, previous knowledge, attendance, study habits, health, examination performance and the requirements of the relevant examination board or institution.

21. Technical Requirements

Students are responsible for ensuring access to:

• A stable internet connection
• A compatible device
• A working email address
• Any required third-party accounts
• Basic software needed to view videos, PDFs, online questions or digital resources

Mr. Miranda Online is not responsible for problems caused by the user’s device, internet connection, browser settings, email filters or local technical limitations.

22. Platform Availability

Mr. Miranda Online aims to keep the platform available and functioning properly.

However, access may occasionally be interrupted due to maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party outages, hosting issues, internet failures, force majeure events or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Mr. Miranda Online is not liable for temporary interruptions caused by such events.

23. Artificial Intelligence Tools

Artificial intelligence tools may be incorporated into certain learning activities, support resources, workflows or third-party services.

AI tools are intended to complement the educational experience and should not be treated as a replacement for proper study, teacher guidance, independent reasoning or official examination requirements.

Students remain responsible for checking the accuracy and appropriateness of any AI-assisted output.

24. Data Protection and Privacy

Mr. Miranda Online processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

The platform collects only the information reasonably necessary to provide access to the service, such as name, email address, account information, course enrolment information and relevant learning or communication data.

Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers. Mr. Miranda Online does not directly receive or store full credit card details.

Users may contact [email protected] to request access to the personal data held about them, request correction, ask questions about data processing, or exercise applicable data protection rights.

25. Suspension or Termination

Mr. Miranda Online may suspend or terminate access to the platform if a user:

• Breaches these Terms
• Shares login credentials
• Misuses the platform
• Violates community rules
• Engages in abusive or unlawful behaviour
• Attempts to copy, resell or redistribute protected content
• Causes harm to the platform, community or other users

Where appropriate, Mr. Miranda Online may contact the user before taking action, but immediate suspension may occur in serious cases.

26. Changes to These Terms

Mr. Miranda Online may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated terms will be published on the website with a new “Last updated” date.

Continued use of the platform after changes are published means acceptance of the updated Terms.

27. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or from the use of Mr. Miranda Online shall be subject to the competent Portuguese courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
